Information we collect

MarineRoster collects information you choose to submit through service requests, quick-contact requests, provider applications, Owner Voices and website feedback. This may include your name, contact details, vessel information, location, requested services, written descriptions, photographs, business information, feedback and disclosures about relationships or incentives.

We also collect limited technical and usage information, such as pages viewed, general location, device and browser information, referral source and interactions with the site.

How we use information

• Review and respond to requests, applications, website feedback and owner-submitted service stories.
• Verify Owner Voices and prepare approved public versions without materially changing the owner's meaning.
• Coordinate introductions to appropriate independent marine-service providers.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve MarineRoster.
• Measure site performance and understand which services and markets are most useful.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse.

Owner Voices and submitted photographs

Owner Voices is a curated collection of selected positive marine-service experiences. Submissions are private by default and are not published automatically. MarineRoster may contact the submitter or provider to confirm the experience, review submitted photographs for privacy and permission, and lightly edit selected wording for clarity without changing its meaning.

When you give publication permission, you retain ownership and grant MarineRoster a nonexclusive permission to display the approved story and photograph on MarineRoster's website and owned promotional channels. You may request a correction, withdrawal or removal by emailing requests@marineroster.com with the confirmation number. We do not offer rewards conditioned on positive sentiment.

When information is shared

We share only the details needed for an introduction with one or more relevant independent providers. We may also use service providers that support website hosting, communications, file storage and analytics. Information may be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect MarineRoster, its users or others.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site traffic and successful request activity. MarineRoster has enabled Google's email redaction and redaction of the issue URL parameter. Our custom lead events do not send customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text descriptions, uploaded photographs or MarineRoster confirmation numbers to Google Analytics.

Polls and abuse prevention

Anonymous poll responses are stored separately from service leads. To limit duplicate or automated votes, MarineRoster stores a random browser token and a temporary one-way security identifier derived from request information. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the poll record, and internal votes are excluded from public results.

Market launch alerts

If you request a market launch alert, we use your email address only to confirm the request and send the specific one-time launch notice you selected. An alert is not active until you confirm the email, and every confirmation message includes an unsubscribe link.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to handle requests, manage provider relationships, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete information you have provided, subject to applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements. Email requests@marineroster.com.

Independent providers and external sites

MarineRoster makes introductions to independent businesses. Their privacy practices and external websites are governed by their own policies.

Children and policy updates

MarineRoster is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as our services change; the effective date above will identify the latest version.
