Boat-owner help
Owner FAQ
Straight answers about requests, introductions, timing, privacy and the role MarineRoster plays.
How does MarineRoster choose a match?
A MarineRoster operator reviews the requested service, boat, location, service model and known provider fit. We may contact you for clarification before suggesting an introduction.
Is MarineRoster free for boat owners?
Yes. Submitting a request is free and does not obligate you to hire a provider.
What if MarineRoster does not find the right provider?
We’ll tell you rather than force a recommendation. An introduction depends on service fit and current provider availability.
Can I request a specific provider?
Yes. Use a provider profile or add the company name to your request. We’ll still confirm that the work and availability appear to fit before making an introduction.
Who performs and guarantees the work?
Providers are independent businesses. MarineRoster does not perform, supervise, warrant or guarantee their work. Confirm scope, qualifications, insurance, pricing and terms directly before authorizing service.
How quickly will someone respond?
A MarineRoster operator will review your request within one business day. That review is not a promise that a provider will be immediately available.
Can MarineRoster help with an emergency?
MarineRoster is not an emergency-dispatch service. For immediate danger to people or property, contact emergency services and the appropriate marina or harbor authority.
What happens to my information?
We use your details to review the request and make relevant introductions. Your contact information and exact vessel location are not published. Read the Privacy Policy for more detail.
Do I need an account?
No. You receive a confirmation number and, when available, a private status link. The link itself provides access, so do not forward it.
